Strength Classes, Run Clinics & Run Club

Running puts the body under a tremendous load. Your ability to attenuate those forces and propel yourself forward safely and efficiently requires strength and control over the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves). This is why Coach Amy also offers run specific strength training and run clinic sessions throughout the year.

Run specific strength training

Coach Amy leads barre, pilates style, and boot-camp style classes that build strength and neuromuscular control.

Group classes are designed by Coach Amy and focus on slow, controlled, quality movement patterns that are specific for endurance athletes.

Class sizes are limited, so Amy can provide modifications to movement patterns as needed. Classes are held at the CoachAmyPT clinic in Overland Park.

“Poor strength + poor neuromuscular control = poor performance no matter how perfect the training plan.”

Run Clinics

Improve your performance, efficiency, run form, and run strength. Coach Amy creates a workout personalized to each participant's goals and experience level.

Workouts include dynamic warm-ups, running drills, hill training, and varied running activities such as fartleks, intervals, and supersets. Class size is limited to 12 athletes.
